Tech Prep Articulation Agreement |

1. COURSE CREDIT Course credit is the granting of college credit for mastery of the competencies equivalent to a college course. Mastery is defined as completing 100% of an articulated secondary Tech Prep Course's competencies at no less than 80% proficiency level. In addition to Tech Prep articulated courses/credits, dual/concurrent enrollment arrangements, in Tech Prep established clusters, may result in Tech Prep/Central Arizona College Credit. The maximum amount of college credit, earned at the secondary level will be determined on a program by program basis. 2. SENDING INSTITUTION'S CONTRIBUTION The high school will provide instruction which enables students to master the competencies required by the college's curriculum and the state of Arizona. The high school will complete a signed Application for Tech Prep Credit for each students who is to receive course credit. It will convey its completed application to the Director of the Pinal County Tech Prep who will deliver the application to the college Registrar's office. 3. RECEIVING INSTITUTION'S CONTRIBUTION The college will grant transcripted credit to high school graduates who enroll at the college within two years of completing the required competencies. If the time limit has expired, a competency examination may be required 4. COOPERATIVE EFFORTS This articulation agreement will be effective for the three years beginning January 1, 2005. Representatives from both institutions will notify each other if a significant modification is proposed during the three years cycle. 5. ARTICULATED COURSES College courses for which Tech Prep articulated credit may be earned are listed on the Application for Tech Prep Credit.
